One Year of Mikyla Creates!!!
HI!!!!! It’s a very exciting day – it has been exactly one year, and over 100 blog posts since I started Mikyla Creates!! I was trying to decide how to celebrate and I thought of three things: share my most popular posts according to google analytics, share my fave posts, and post the very first blog post and video I EVER made (and never posted).
Also before we get started I wanted to share that I put off starting my blog for a year, I was too scared that it would fail or that people would judge me. I even had twenty, yes twenty posts ready to go before I ever go the courage to launch my blog. All that to say, this little blog makes me so, so happy and I wish I hadn’t have waited so long out of fear. So, if there’s something you want to do – go do it!!

1. DIY Scrunchie Holder
Anybody else kind of shocked by this?! It was a post that I sort of threw together, and then ended up being my most popular – crazy! I will say that it’s one of the easiest DIYs on my blog (all of them are easy, but this one especially), so it is a really good one to make!

Okay, this one I do really love!! This was one of the posts that I had made before I even launched my blog and I remember being pretty dang proud of it! It is still hanging up above my dresser!

I find it funny that my top three most popular posts are accessories, I guess I should make more of those! Anyways, I do love these earrings, they are for real insanely easy

4. DIY Codenames Game (Free Printable)
I love that this one is in my top five because it took a lot of time to design the free printables, but also because it came from a gift that I made for my family and decided to turn into a blog post. I have really happy memories playing this game with my fam.

5. Best Walls and Murals in Fresno
It both shocks and makes me so happy that this one is in my top 5 – FRESNO PRIDE! I have no idea how it is so popular, but I love that it is! I also sometimes reference this post when I’m looking for a cute wall lol.

In-n-Out Halloween Costume
I posted this one pretty early on and I still love it so much! You never know how the weird idea in your head is going to turn out, but this one did and I think it’s so funny! In fact, I’ve been brainstorming halloween costume ideas for this year and I keep getting bummed because I don’t think I can top this one. I love how simple it is!

DIY Painted Ombre Bike
I made this one with Brennan and we just had the most fun making it together, so that’s probably a big part of why I love it! Though we are both really proud and shocked by how well it turned out! I also have a weird obsession with bicycles and I just think it’s so pretty!
