DIY Scrunchie Holder

Will scrunchies go back out of style? I really hope that they never do, because honestly they save my hair almost every day. So, here’s to you, scrunchies! Anyways, if your current scrunchie storage situation is stuffed in a bag, I feel you, which is why you need today’s DIY!

I should also mention that this is the easiest DIY known to man, and also, there are NO power tools needed – win, win!!

Okay, so before we go any further, I should mention that this DIY is entirely inspired by @helloimaubs which is the first time I’ve ever posted a DIY inspired by someone else’s! So, shout out to Aubrey for this amazing idea! Definitely give her a follow! Of course I put my own spin on mine, so it looka a little different, and also made it differently so that power tools aren’t required!

Okay, I think we’re ready to get started!

SUPPLIES

1. Wooden Disc – I just bought mine at Micheals, but I’m sure you could find something similar in the wood section at any craft store (mine is 5″ wide).
2. Wooden Dowel – I bought mine at Home Depot, you can just ask an employee to cut it down to the length that you need (mine is 6.5″).
3. This is the exact paint that I used, but you can of course use any colour you’d like!
4. The best glue in the world.
5. Sand Paper
6. A Paint Brush

DIRECTIONS

1. Paint your wooden disc any colour that you’d like, I chose to paint mine pink… big surprise, I know 😉
2. Get your dowel cut to the length that you’d like, mine is 6.5″.
3. Sand the ends of your dowel down so that they are smooth.
4. Measure your wooden disc to find the center, make a mark with a pencil.
5. Put a dollop of glue on your center mark and then place your dowel on top. Hold until it is dry.
6. That’s it! Put your scrunchies on it and enjoy!!
