DIY New Year Vision Board

This may be a New Year vision board DIY, but honestly the coolest part of this DIY is how to make your own GLUE DOTS to attach everything onto your board *mind blown*! I had nooo idea this was possible or so easy! I literally just ran out of my pack of glue dots and was a little annoyed, but then Aleene’s comes along with their ‘Tack it over & over’ Glue and says that you can make your own?!

If you haven’t used glue dots before, they are so handy because they secure things really well. BUT you can move them, which was perfect for when I was arranging my vision board – I could keep adjusting until I was happy with how it looked!

The other exciting thing about this DIY is that there are FREE PRINTABLES to go with it!! You can download those by entering your email below! There’s a sheet with inspirational quotes, words, and photos, and another sheet with fill in the blanks, so that you can write your goals, wishes and etc. for the year!

I know it can be cheesy, but I really do love sitting down at the end of a year and looking back on what I accomplished, everything that happened that year, and then looking forward to what I’d like my year to look like. I don’t like it to be TOO specific, because I’ve learnt recently that you just never know. BUT, I DO like to have something to work towards and that’s why a vision board is so perfect!

ANYWAYS, we should really get started on this DIY!!

SUPPLIES:

Aleene’s Tack it Over & Over Glue
11′ x 11′ wood board (you can get them to cut it for you at Home Depot)
Free Printables (Download Below)
White Acrylic Paint
Painters Tape
Paint Brush
Wooden Beads
Cotton Twine
Drill

DIRECTIONS:

TO MAKE THE BOARD:

1. Add painters tape diagonally to wooden board.
2. Paint half of board with white acrylic paint. Then Peel it off.
3. Cut out vision board free printables (download in Supplies section).
4. Use a pencil and ruler and measure and mark an inch from the edges for your holes to hang the board.
5. Drill the holes where you made your pencil mark. Choose a drill bit based on the size of the string you are hanging it with.
6. Add wooden beads to your cotton twine (I alternated sizes of beads), then tie it onto your board.
   

TO MAKE THE GLUE DOTS:

1. Get ready with your ‘Tack it Over & Over’ Aleene’s glue and wax paper!
2. Make a bunch of dots with your bottle of glue on the wax paper.
3. Wait for them to fully dry.
4. Peel them off the wax paper as you need them and stick them onto the back of whatever you need to attach! You can also move them after you stick them – so handy!

Fill out your printables with your goals, wishes, etc. and then stick them all on with your DIY glue dots and watch your cute vision board come to life! You can also add your own photos and designs!
