I don’t think there’s anything cozier than autumn decorations, and I’ve been really loving the whole ‘wreaths aren’t just for Christmas anymore’ thing, so I decided to make a DIY pumpkin hoop wreath!! I was veryyy unsure when I came up with this idea, I didn’t know if it would turn out, or be hard to make, but it’s super easy, modern, and festive!
Most of the fall wreaths I saw online were floraly, and as much as I love that I wanted something unique, so I decided to go with all pumpkins! But since I am not the biggest orange fan, I had to add a few more colors in there – aka PINK, because who says pink can’t go with fall?! ANYWAYS, let’s get started making your modern pumpkin hoop wreaths!
SUPPLIES
I got all my supplies from Hobby Lobby, but I linked some similar things just incase 🙂

DIRECTIONS
- Paint pumpkins in various colors (I used 5 colors, a green, an orange, a light orange, a pink, and white). It will probably take a couple coats depending on what color the pumpkins are originally.
- Paint pumpkin stems gold (I wasn’t planning on painting them stems, but it made a HUGE difference!)
- Take off outer ring of embroidery hoop ( I just used the inner ring).
- Hot glue your pumpkins onto the ring! I started with a big pumpkin, and then slowly added the other around it. I tried to keep the larger pumpkins in the center, and then have gradually get smaller. I also glued the pumpkins at different angles to add interest. I covered about 2/3 of the hoop, and then left the rest empty, because I love that look, but you could totally cover the whole thing!
- Tie your leather cord on the top of the hoop, hang it up, and feel all kinds of cozy!
That’s it! It’s pretty simple! It takes awhile, but I think it’s worth it! I’ve never been able to find an autumn wreath I liked, and I’m so happy with this one!! Pretty please tag me @mikylacreates if you make this DIY pumpkin hoop wreath! Yay!

Nice! I’m not as handy as you. If I wanted something like this, I’d have to buy one from Emerson & Belle! Good job.
