The Full House version of a San Francisco Travel Guide!! I’ve loved the show Full House ever since I was a kid, I’ve collected the DVDs, I’ve watched all of the episodes, and of course, I have a crush on Uncle Jesse (John Stamos). I also LOVE San Francisco, it’s probably my favourite city in California. All of that to say that a Full House San Francisco Travel Guide was bound to happen!
Ps. If you want to see more of my travel guides head here. If you love Cali like me, I have LA, San Diego and Sacramento guides as well!
My friend, Sam and I spent the day in San Francisco, going to all of the filming locations of the Full House theme song! It was the best day, so if you’d all like to have the best Full House day I have a travel guide for you! Watch the video above to see all of the fun, or keep scrolling to see some photos! Let’s go!
Picnic at the Painted Ladies
The Painted Ladies are probably the most iconic location from Full House, in the theme song the Tanner Family has a picnic in front of the painted ladies, so we did too! I’d highly recommend this, it’s so much fun, plus any excuse to have a picnic is a good one in my books!

The Full House House
A classic. You can’t miss the full house house! But, in all honestly, it’s in a super cute neighbourhood, so even if you have no interest in it, it’s a great spot to take a stroll and see that iconic San Francisco Architecture! It was also just bought by the creator of Full House, Jeff Franklin, so they have restored it to it’s former glory (I visited it a few years ago and it was purple!) When we visited this time it was under construction (boooo), which was kind of funny, but I don’t have any great photos unfortunately.

Lombard Street
Another great spot to visit even if you have no interest in Full House. It’s famous for being the crookedest street in the world, and it’s really cool to see! You can drive down it (if you feel confident enough in your driving skills –ha!) or you can walk it, which I recommend! It’s cool to drive it, but walking it allows you to take it in better, as there are super pretty views! ANYWAYS, Lombard street was seen in the theme songs of the first couple seasons, when Danny and Michelle biked down it!

Fisherman’s Warf
Fisherman’s Warf was the location for a lot of the scenes in the Full House theme song, but specifically the famous Fisherman’s Warf sign was featured, so definitely grab a photo of that! But since you’re there you should definitely walk over to Pier 39, it’s one of my favourite spots in SF, mostly because of the sea lions, oh my gosh is there anything cuter?! No. Watching them reminds me of the sea lions from Finding Dory and I just love it! There are also a bunch of cute shops, it’s pretty touristy, but a must see if you ask me!

Cable Cars
In the theme song you’ll see the whole Tanner Family getting off a Cable Car, so riding one is a must! It’s such a San Fransisco-y thing to do – ha! There are stops all over the place, so just Google which one is closest to you! I loooove riding cable cars on the hills of San Francisco, I know I’ve said this for literally every one, but it’s a must do!
Golden Gate Bridge
Have you even been to San Francisco if you didn’t see the Golden Gate Bridge? Probably not. I know it’s overdone, but you just can’t have a Full House day without driving across the bridge listening to “Everywhere you look”. You just can’t! As far as viewpoints go, I would highly recommend Fort Point, I’ve been to quite a few view points, and this one is my go-to! It’s super close to the bridge, there’s not usually that many people there, it’s right on the water and so pretty! Baker Beach is also a good option, but it’s much father from the bridge.

That’s it! The perfect Full House day! We also watched Full House in the car on the way there, which was the perfect start to our day to get us in the Full House mood! I would also LOVE to know of there are any fellow Full House fans out there and what your favourite episode is!! Mine is probalyyyyy “Hole in the Wall Gang” from season 4! Let me know below! Adios Tanneritos!
Ps. If you missed my post last week head here!
