Okay, so, as you may know, I post on here every Tuesday (plus my Friday links post). I actually planned on posting this next Tuesday, but then I realized THAT IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE ON TUESDAY…. UM WHAT. How did that even happen?! Long story short, I am once again replacing my regular Friday links post with a DIY because #christmas.
ANYWAYS! The story behind these gift tags is that I personally think that most gift tags in the store are ugly, and cheesy at best, so I always end up designing my own. These are the tags that I designed this year, and used on my gifts, so I figured I’d share them with you! Even if you’re mostly done wrapping, you can add these on! Plus, you can just print them at home which is also super nice, as much as I love a trip to Target, I’m pretty much all shopped out, because once again… #christmas.
Also! If you still need some gift ideas head here. Or, if you want an easy DIY gift idea head here!
I thought I’d also include some wrapping tips. Let me first say, I am not that good at wrapping, I don’t love it that much, I don’t go that fancy. BUT, just incase you are like me, I thought I’d share some tips on how to wrap gifts cheap and easy, but make them look fancy #sneaky.
Cheap & Easy Wrapping Tips that Look Fancy
- Go foraging. Seriously, sticking a pine sprig on a present makes it look 100x more fancy. Plus, free and easy – winning!
- Twine, twine, twine. I use gold striped twine from Micheals. I like using ribbon on a few gifts, but a roll of ribbon lasts like two gifts, and it gets pricey. Just get yourself a big roll of twine, and go to town!
- This may seem extra but.. choose a wrapping paper colour scheme. Choosing a colour scheme will make your presents look so much nicer sitting under the tree, plus it makes picking wrapping paper out less overwhelming when you have a direction. I mean why does every store have 1203847 options?!
- Use a gift tag. Haha, this ones obvious, but seriously. Sometimes I tell myself I can just remember who it’s for, but just stick a gift tag on there. It makes it look cuter, plus it’s handy, also cheap.
- Don’t take it too seriously. At the end of the day, they are all getting ripped open, so if you measured wrong and had to use 3 pieces of paper to wrap one gift – oh well!
