Calling all fellow plant ladies, plant moms and plant lovers, introducing this DIY plant lady halloween costume!! What better way to declare your love for plants and prove you are the ultimate plant lady than dressing up as one?!

I love how this turned out, it’s basically just paper, but it screams PLANTS, which is the goal I think! I am also OBSESSED with those potted plant earrings!! They were a last minute addition, because I felt like there weren’t enough plants (lol) so I had this crazy idea, and I am actually so shocked by how I literally made them in five minutes – whaaaat! I also love how they are just SO extra – ha!

If you know me, then you know I am deeply in love with houseplants, so this costume really speaks to me – AND literally all it is, is cutting and gluing so literally zero skill required! Win, win!! Let’s get started!

SUPPLIES

For the plant headband and bracelet:

Different Shapes of Green Cardstock

Hot Glue

Elastic

Plant Shape Template (above)

For the Plant Earrings:

Mini Terra Cotta Pots

Earring Disc

Earring Post

Earring Backing

String

Hot Glue

Green Cardstock

For the Clothing & Accessories:

Terra Cotta Colored Dress or Skirt

Green Shirt

Small Potted Plant

Watering Can

DIRECTIONS:

For the plant headband:

1. Cut out monstera leaves with printable (one small and one large in two different shades of green).
2. Glue Leaves together.
3. Measure elastic to your head, and glue ends together.
4. Glue headbamnd on back of leaves.

For the Plant Bracelet:

1. Cut out small monstera leaf out of any shade of green.
2. Measure elastic to wrist and glue ends together.
3. Glue elastic onto back of leaf.

*you could also use hair elastic instead.

For Plant Pocket:

1. I just cut out two extra leaves and glued them together to stick in my pockets because #moreismore

For the Plant Earrings:

1. Cut out a zig zag strip out of paper (I just freehanded this).
2. Glue ends together.
3. Glue paper into your mini terra cotta pots.
4. Glue earring backing to disc.
5. Thread string through hole in disc.
6. Attached each end of string to either side of pot (near the top).
7. Repeat with other earring!
