DIY Modern Earring Holder
Hey!! It’s my first DIY post of 2020, and we’re starting with probably one of my favourite DIYs to date! Honestly, I’ve had this idea for a long time, but I put it off because I wasn’t sure if it would turn out, and if it would be hard to make. BUT, it turned out SO GOOD, and it was so easy!!! SCORE!!
Ps. You can also make these cute rainbow earrings to go on your earring holder 🙂
I’ve been looking for an earring holder for… years (?!) I could never find one I liked, and I could never find any DIYs I liked the look of either. So, my earrings have been living in a pile in a ring dish, and I’m so happy they finally have a pretty place to live!
I am always intimidated by projects that involve wood, but I’m here to tell you that this project is actually SO easy! So, let’s get started!!

I hope you guys love this DIY Modern Earring Holder project as much as I do! It would also make the perfect gift, especially if you gave it to them along with a pair of earrings – BAM! I’ve been using mine for a few months now, and I often get questions about it, so I am stoked to see you guys make it! Please tag or Dm me if you do @mikylacreates!! Have the happiest of weeks!
Ps. Check out my other DIY projects here! I also have a bunch of jewelry DIY ideas, and I’d love to know if you guys would be into that?! So, please let me know your thoughts in the comments below 🙂
JUST STUMBLED UPON YOUR PAGE, AND I HAD TO SHARE WITH YOU THAT I FOUND AN EXACT ONE OF THESE (SAME DESIGN AND EVERYTHING!) ON “WEDDBOOK.COM”! WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?! THEY ARE CUTE. I ALSO HAD WANTED TO TRY TO MAKE “POP-TART POPS” FROM A RECIPE I FOUND ON “THE CAKE BLOG”, BUT NEVER GOT AROUND TO IT. MAYBE I’LL GIVE IT A GO. NOW, HERE’S WHERE THINGS GET REALLY EERIE…A FEW YEARS BACK, I TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH ONE OF THE CUTEST BICYCLE FLOWER CARTS I’VE EVER SEEN, IN NASHVILLE, CALLED “PETAL”–AND IT VERY STRONGLY RESEMBLES THE ONE FEATURED IN YOUR PORTFOLIO!!! DID THIS CART INSPIRE THE DESIGN FOR YOUR CART? YOU JUST MIGHT BE MY SPIRIT ANIMAL!
Just realised that I’ve been typing in all caps! I’m not yelling at you ; ) . I think that it is great that you have created a forum where you can compile and highlight some great ideas that are already out there, but that some of us may never have found ourselves, as well as sharing some of your own ideas.
Cheers!
Hi! I just had a question. Do you put the backs on your earrings in this or do they just sit in there fine?
Hey Brooke! Yes, I do put the backs of the earrings on the back of the holder!

I am very thankful for your efforts put on this report. This article is updated extremely informative and transparent.
Can I expect you may post this type of another article inthe nearr future?

Thanks so much! Absolutely!
Do you know what type of wood you used? Is it plywood?
It wasn’t plywood – I honestly just went to the hardware store and picked the one that I liked the look of best, so I’m not sure exactly what kind it was! Plus I made sure it was the right thickness for my earrings! Hope that helps!
Mikyla
How thick was it?
I took an earring to the hardware store, to make sure the wood wasn’t too thick for the earring to stick through.
