DIY Liquid Sculpey Dominos
So, fun fact, I’ve made a bunch of DIY games – especially board games. I make one every year at Christmas for my family and it’s been such a fun tradition! So, these DIY Dominos are the perfect addition to our little DIY game collection! I mean, why not personalize a game and make it even MORE fun to play?!
This DIY is also especially easy, and so fun to experiment with mixing the colors, so that each domino is a little, tiny work of art! I stuck to clear, white, purple and green, but I think it would be SO fun to make rainbow dominos!! I also added gold glitter, but you could add anything – dried flowers, fabric, sprinkles etc.
I used Sculpey’s new mixing cup set for this project so that I can easily make ANY color I want using alcohol inks – which is how I made that amazing green color! The tool the set comes with is also perfect for swirling the colors around in the mold to make pretty designs!
Okay, let’s get going on this DIY so that you can start playing with them – game night anyone?!
SUPPLIES
Liquid Sculpey
Colors: Amethyst Pearl, White, & Clear
Alcohol Inks
White Acrylic Paint
Paint Brush
Gold Glitter
Domino Mold
DIRECTIONS
- Make sure to stir you liquid Sculpey well before use – the stir stick from the mixing cup set works perfectly for this right in the bottles as well!
- Add clear liquid Sculpey to your domino molds and mostly coat the bottom.
- Add glitter to your molds, the scoop at the end of the stir stick works perfectly for this.
- Add amethyst pearl colored liquid Sculpey.
- Mix a light pink and green color using your mixing cup set and alcohol inks, and white liquid Sculpey.
- Add your dyed green and light pink color to the mold.
- Use the stir stick to swirl your colors together.
- Add some white liquid Sculpey and swirl.
- Bake according to the Sculpey package, then add white acrylic paint to the domino dot indents.
