OKAY, time for my first DIY halloween costume in the form of In-n-Out cups, AND it’s a couple costume! My love for In-n-Out runs deep (clearly). When Brennan and I were dating long distance (him in Cali, me in Canada), I would often visit him in California. Every. Single. Time. I flew in to visit him our first stop would be In-n-Out, we would literally drive straight from the airport to In-n-Out, no questions asked. My love for In-n-out is still going strong, so OBVIOULSY I had to express that love through a DIY In-n-Out cup couple costume – lol!
There are a lot of super cute In-n-Out costumes out there, but I scoured the internet and didn’t find any In-n-Out CUP costumes – outrageous! Don’t they know that’s the most iconic part?! So, I figured I’d make it happen! Not to toot my own horn, but there are a lot of great parts about this costume. It’s easy, like so simple. It’s CHEAP (a total of $10 or less). It involves In-n-Out #winning and it’s not an in your face type of costume. I’m not the type of person to wear a super crazy costume, so this is right up my alley!
Okay, enough talking, let’s get started!
SUPPLIES
Free Palm Tree Template (above)
Large Red or Green Felt Sheet

DIRECTIONS
For the Shirt:
- Take your felt and trace four palm trees onto it with your template and cut them out.
- Using your ruler, cut two 1 inch thick strips of felt.
- Cut one 0.75 inch strip of felt, and one 0.25 inch strip of felt.
- Cut three squiggle strips of felt – about 1 inch thick (I just free handed this).
- Arrange onto your white shirt.
- Glue shapes down with your glue gun.
For the Straw:
- Cut a paper towel roll in half.
- Measure white paper to height of straw, wrap paper around & glue.
- Cut thin strips of red paper (I made 4) and glue them onto the straw.
- Glue a circle piece of paper to bottom of straw.
- Measure your elastic to size of your head and glue together to make headband.
- Glue your headband onto bottom of your straw.
That’s it! You’re done!!
There are so many possibilities when it comes to this costume! You could add another person who has brown felt, and they could be hot chocolate or coffee! OR you could have a huge group of In-n-Out cups. OR you could have a group of friends, some dressed as In-n-Out cups, someone as fries, someone as a burger, someone as a palm tree, someone as an In-n-Out employee! Ah! The possibilities are endless!
Pretty PLEASE tag me if you make this DIY In-n-Out cups couple costume @mikylacreates, I would LOVE to see!!!
