Disneyland Bridal Shower + Printables
So, I was writing my ‘How to Throw a Virtual Bridal or Baby Shower’ post and thought that maybe I should do a separate Disneyland shower post. Just incase you’re not interested in the virtual part and just want to know to to throw a Disneyland shower since I didn’t talk about that at all! I also thought you might want the printable games and decorations I made!
I loveee how this theme turned out, it’s Disney without being too Disney. We went with a vintage Disneyland vibe, and our colors were muted pastels with lots of pink. It was magical, whimsical, and classy. So, if you’re looking for more of an understated Disneyland shower, look no further!
You can find all my printables at the bottom of this post, but for now let’s get started!
Decorations
We made a few decorations, and I thought that it might be helpful to tell you how we made them!
How to Make the Disneyland Sign:
This little Disneyland sign added so much, and I mean.. it’s just so dang cute! Here’s how to make it:
- Download the Disneyland sign printable (at the bottom of the post) and cut out the pieces.
- Buy skewers and paint them white.
- Cover a foam block in moss with a hot glue gun.
- Glue the Disneyland sign together, and then glue it onto the skewers.
- Put the skewers into the moss block
- Enjoy your cute sign!
How to Make the Mickey Wreath:
This was the PERFECT understated Disney decor! It’s so, pretty with just a touch of Disney.
- Get three embroidery hoops – one large and two small.
- Hot glue the three embroidery hoops together, then tie it with fishing line to make sure it stays put.
- Use eucalyptus garland and cover the wreath using hot glue and fishing line.
- Add fake pink flowers to finish it off! We used small pink flowers all over, then three larger ones on the large hoop.
- You’re done!!
How to Make The Mickey Garland:
- Cut out various sizes of mickey heads using a Cricut. If you don’t have a Cricut you could cut them out by hand or use a mickey punch.
- Use both solid and patterned paper. We used various patterns and colors, but staying within the pinks color scheme.
- Punch two holes at the top of each mickey head, and thread twine through each one.
- You’re done!
The Food
How to Make the Mickey Cupcakes:
- Start with any cupcake recipe.
- Make this icing (super easy).
- Pipe your frosting onto your cupcakes with a piping bag.
- Add sprinkles
- Use two Oreo thins for each cupcake to make mickey ears! Stick one on either side into the frosting.
How to Make Mickey Rice Crispy’s
These are so fun because they sell something similar in the Disney parks, plus they are so easy to make!
- Make rice crispy treats in a pan.
- Use a mickey shapes cookie cutter and cut them out.
- Dip top of Mickey head into semi sweet melted chocolate.
- Add sprinkles!
How to Make Mickey Trail Mix
We used the mickey goldfish you may have seen at the grocery store to make this cute mickey themed trail mix!
Here’s what we put in our trail mix!
- Mickey Mouse gold fish crackers.
- Pretzel sticks.
- Pastel colored M&Ms.
- Honey roasted peanuts.
- Salted Almonds.
- Dried Cranberries.
Mickey Cheese Tray:
This cheese tray was vaguely Disney inspired. We used bowls to make a hidden mickey. Can you spot it? You could also cut the cheese into mickey shapes if you have a small mickey cookie cutter!
The Games:
I have attached the printables for all of the games at the bottom of this post!
EDIT: I got asked for the answer key a lot, so I just added it to the last page of the games printable PDF!
The Four Games We Played:
- The Emoji Game: This is where you use emojis and the guests have to guess what Disneyland ride it represents. I gave everyone a few minutes to fill out their sheets, then I read out the answers and had everyone guess before I shared the answer.
- Love Song Game: We had a sheet with Disney love songs that guests would have to match to the Disney movie. I gave everyone a few minutes to fill out their sheet and then I read out the answers.
- Pictionary: Everyone got a sheet with an area to draw and a line where we wrote a different Disney movie on every sheet. Each person got 30 seconds to draw the movie, then they would hold it up and everyone would guess. The first person to guess correctly gets a point!
The Party Favors:
We had two ‘party favor type items! The main one being the cute star bracelets, and the other is the most beautiful castle coloring page ever.
How to Make The Star Bracelets
We made these cute little star bracelets for the party favor, they were inexpensive and turned out so well!
- Buy these star charms along with string. Cut the string and tie a star charm into each one. Make an adjustable knot on the back.
- Print out the ‘wish upon a star’ printable at the bottom of this post. Cut it out, as well as two notches on either side. Tie your bracelet onto it.
- You’re done!
Disney Castle Coloring Page:
We got this stunning Disney castle coloring page here!
